Chemical Wormers are Becoming Ineffective?

Since than the active ingredient in FFO has had a lot more testing done on it with substantial and supportive results.

Chemical Wormers are Becoming Ineffective?
The reason that the chemical wormers are becoming ineffective is because they are poisons. Insects and parasites can quickly develop immunities to chemicals. In fact, the chemical companies get permission year after year to release untested insecticides and pesticides because in less than one growing season, the bugs are developing an immunity to the harsh chemicals!

Why should chemical wormers be any different? Sadly, as the parasites become immune, chemical companies keep making the doses more toxic. It doesn’t seem to have any greater affect on the parasites, but it sure makes a lot of animals sick.

The best way to treat insects and parasites is with a mechanical process – not a chemical one.

When the potato farmers in Idaho were losing their crop to Mormon Crickets a few years ago, and had already maxed out on their tolerance levels for their chemical insecticides, they called us -desperate for help. After a single aerial dusting with organic, food-grade FFO– all the crickets died. The amazing thing is that you can dust crops with our insecticide and then eat the produce the same day without any toxic residue! Bugs can’t develop an immunity to the mechanically killing ability of the diatomaceous earth. Check any of the holistic “cleansing” products offered at health stores and on the internet for colon cleansing. Some have herbs, or tonics, but almost all of them are built onto a base of food-grade FFO. It is so simple, but effective. Some don’t even list it on their labels, because they don’t have to – it won’t harm anyone.

Horses, donkeys, cows, goats, ostriches, chickens, people, you name it – have been taking FFO with excellent results for over 30 years. Those who use it could care less if the EPA approves it or not for that purpose. The FDA has already approved it as food-grade and it has been certified as organic. Autopsies, and stool samples show that it is an effective way to keep animals free of parasites. In over 30 years, there has not been a single report of any animal or human being sick from it. There have been incredible claims by users and there have been new studies to show that it also helps control cholesterol, hardens egg shells, improves hair, skin, nails, removes heavy metal from the blood stream, and a single treatment to stored grain will keep it bug free indefinitely. The other nice thing about FFO is that by feeding it daily to your animals, it significantly reduces odors and flies. Is it any wonder that the chemical companies have tried every dirty trick in their book to see that we DON’T get approved as a safe, natural, worming product? If we did, what would happen to their sales of fly sprays, wormers, flea and tick collars/lotions/wash? What would happen in the medical industry? All the peripheral ailments that spring up from parasites would not be present. That means less doctor and vet visits and less money spent on chemical prescriptions. No, I feel pretty confident that no doctor, chemical company, or scientist is going to come out and say – “throw away all your expensive, harmful, toxic, products and start using something that comes from the ground and costs almost nothing compared with the cost of all the products that it would make obsolete.”

Today's Inspirational Quote:

"One's first step in wisdom is to question everything - and
one's last is to come to terms with everything."

-- Georg Christoph Lichtenberg

Here's a simple but powerful New Year's tip for you
: When making a New Year's resolution, don't aim for a specific result but rather a process.

For example, don't resolve to "lose 10 poinds" in 2010. Rather, resolve to "replace sodas with superfood drinks" or something similar. Let the results develop on their own. Your most powerful changes come from focusing on changing your habits and processes and not being overly preoccupied with the actual result.

Salt isn't bad for you, despite what the mainstream media says. What's bad for you is processed salt. Raw, coarse salt containing the full spectrum of minerals is quite good for you. It's the processing of salt that makes it dangerous.

So don't be afraid of salt. I actually add salt to my diet because I don't get enough otherwise. I actually proved this by checking my blood pressure with processed salt and natural salt on several different occations and always get the same results plus or minus a point or two. I have minor hypertension so the difference was dramatic. What do I add? Natural ocean salts like Celtic Sea Salt or Royal Himalayan Pink Crystal salt or what I use for the tests, is Real Salt.

Substance in Black Pepper Increases Nutrient Absorption up to

Two Thousand Percent

Monday, November 17, 2008 by: Barbara L. Minton, citizen journalist

(NaturalNews) Putting black pepper on your food may be one of the easiest, most economical ways to boost your overall health status. Piperine, the main alkaloid from black pepper has been shown to substantially increase the bioavailability of the nutrients in foods and supplements. As the quality of food declines and the costs of food and supplements continue to skyrocket, it is increasingly important to your health that the nutrients you consume are able to be used to maximum efficiency by your body.

What is piperine?

Piperine is a pungent compound found in the fruit of the plants in the Piperaceae family, the most famous member of which is Piper nigrum, black pepper. It has a long history of use in Ayurvedic medicine as a restorative and treatment.

Piperine is able to increase bioavilability of many substances through a number of mechanisms. It inhibits several enzymes responsible for metabolizing nutritional substances, stimulates amino-acid transporters in the intestinal lining, inhibits removal of substances from cells so they continue to be available for use, and decreases the intestinal activity allowing more of the substances to enter the body in active form. The results of these actions are that substances reach, enter and remain within their target cells for longer periods of time than would normally be the case.

Piperine can turn a marginally effective therapeutic substance into a highly effective one by increasing its bioavailability and intracellular residency time. As an example, piperine can increase the bioavailability of the cancer, inflammation and infection fighter, curcumin, by twenty-fold.

Piperine favorably simulates the digestive enzymes of the pancreas, enhances digestive capacity and significantly reduces gastrointestinal food transit time. Black pepper or piperine treatment has also been evidenced to lower lipid peroxidation in vivo and beneficially influence the cellular status of organic sulfur compounds, antioxidant molecules, and antioxidant enzymes in a number of experimental situations of oxidative stress.

In addition to its effects on bioavilability, piperine has many other actions in the body that include increasing beta-endorphins in the brain, acting as an anti-depressant, increasing serotonin production, boosting brain functioning, stimulating adrenal production, relieving pain and asthma symptoms, stimulating melanin production, decreasing ulcerations of the stomach, reducing stomach acid production, and coordinating digestive tract contractions. It is highly effective against colon cancer.

New research is documenting the many health benefits of piperine

The journal Biometals reports a study involving cadmium, a well known environmental carcinogen and immuno-toxicant that is characterized by marked atrophy of the thymus and spleen enlargement. Cadmium induces death in lymphocytes and alters immune functions. Researchers tested the ameliorative effects to cadmium damage using piperine, picroliv-glycosides, and curcumin polyphenols. They found that of the three herbals, piperine displayed maximum efficacy. All the examined doses of piperine increased cell viability in a dose dependent manner. Restoration of cell damage such as cytotoxicity, oxidative stress and phosphatidylserine externalization was potentiated with piperine. T and B cell phenotypes and cytokine release were also mitigated best with piperine, rendering piperine the compound of choice under immuno-compromised conditions.

In a study reported in the September edition of the journal Food and Chemical Toxicology the effect of various doses of piperine was determined. Results showed that piperine at all dosage ranges used in the study possessed anti-depression like activity and cognitive enhancing effects at all treatment durations. Researchers determined that piperine is a functional food that improves brain functioning.

The medicinal properties of various compounds such as curcumin cannot be well utilized because of poor bioavailability due to its rapid metabolism in the liver and intestinal wall. In an older study reported in Planta Medica, the effect of combining piperine, a known inhibitor of hepatic and intestinal glucuronidation, was evaluated to determine the bioavailability of curcumin in rats and healthy human volunteers. When curcumin was given alone to the rats, moderate serum concentrations were achieved over a period of 4 hours. When piperine was added with the curcumin, the serum concentration of curcumin increased for a 1-2 hour period. Time to maximum concentration was significantly increased while elimination half life and clearance significantly decreased. The bioavailability was increased by 154%. When curcumin was given alone to humans, serum levels were either undetectable or very low. Addition of piperine produced much higher concentrations from 0.25 to 1 hour following administration. The bioavailability of curcumin when taken with piperine increased 2000%.

A study reported in the September issue of Phychopharmacology was designed to investigate the involvement of monoaminergic systems in the antidepressant activity of curcumin and the effect of piperine as a bioenhancer to the biological effects of curcumin. The researchers found that the enhanced curcumin dose dependently inhibited the immobility period, increased serotonin, and inhibited the monoamine oxidase enzymes. The compound also enhanced the anti-immobility effect of sub-threshold doses of various antidepressant drugs like fluoxetine, venlafaxine, or bupropion. The combination of sub-threshold dose of enhanced curcumin and various antidepressant drugs resulted in synergistic increase in serotonin levels. The co-administration of piperine with curcumin resulted in potentiation of pharmacological, biochemical, and neurochemical activities. They concluded that the curcumin, piperine combination proved to be a useful and potent natural antidepressant.

The summer issue of Clinical Laboratory Science reports a study to determine if resveratrol from red grapes, cinnamaldehyde from cinnamon, and piperine from black pepper have anti-proliferative effects on colon cancer. Quantitative effects of each phytochemical on concentration responses and time courses of proliferation of cultured human colon cancer cells were assessed. The results showed the phytochemicals each displayed anti-proliferative effects. Piperine displayed a trend toward anti-proliferation at 24 hours and statistically significant inhibition at 48 and 72 hours. Researchers concluded that all three compounds offer significant anti-proliferative effects on human colon cancer cells and provide protective effects against colon cancer.

Using piperine

Piperine is generally consumed as a component of black pepper. Adding black pepper to cooked foods, raw foods, and fresh juices is a good way to increase nutrient absorption. Black pepper spices up almost all foods, even snacks like popcorn. It can be added to the Budwig protocol used as a preventative and cure for cancer. It is natural that the foods and the compound that makes their nutrients so highly available go so well together.

For those with an aversion to black pepper, piperine can be bought as a supplement called Bioperine. Source Naturals Bioperine is available at Lucky Vitamin. Swanson Vitamin sells a house brand of Bioperine. There are multi-vitamins on the market that contain Bioperine as well as Curcumin supplements with Bioperine added. Supplemental piperine should be taken along with meals and supplements for maximum benefit.

Safer Pet Vaccination and Health Care: A Benefit Seminar
March 28, 2010 in San Diego, CA

Are you over-vaccinating your pet, even giving unnecessary or potentially dangerous shots? Would you know if you were?

World-renowned pet vaccination experts, Drs. Jean Dodds and Ron Schultz, will speak at the Del Mar Hilton at a day-long seminar March 28, 2010. Having raised the issue of over-vaccination decades ago, these two experts have been instrumental in changing the vaccination protocols of major veterinary organizations, schools and vets throughout the world.

Dr. Schultz will speak on "What Every Pet Owner Should Know About Vaccines and Vaccination Programs." He was the US Representative of the World Small Animal Veterinary Association Vaccination Guidelines Group and Board Member of the 2003 and 2006 American Animal Hospital Association Canine Vaccine Task Forces and the AAFP Feline Vaccine Task Force.

Dr. Dodds will discuss "Managing and Treating Adverse Vaccine Reactions," titer testing, blood tests for wellness and more. Dr. Dodds, a former AHVMA Holistic Veterinarian of the Year, consults nationally and internationally on hematology, immunology, endocrinology, nutrition and holistic medicine.

Both speakers will answer your questions during a roundtable Q & A session

Vets and vet techs can earn six continuing education credits

All proceeds (less direct costs) benefit the Rabies Challenge Fund Charitable Trust, a nonprofit working to prove the duration of immunity conveyed by the rabies vaccine with the goal of increasing the period between rabies shots from 3 years to 5, then 7. They are also working to establish a blood “titer standard” to provide ascientific basis to avoid unnecessary rabies booster vaccination. The rabies vaccine can cause autoimmune disease, skin and digestive disorders, injection site tumors, behavior changes and other adverse reactions.

This important event is organized and hosted by national award-winning San Diego author, Jan Rasmusen (Scared Poopless: The Straight Scoop on Dog Care). Here’s your word for the day…organophosphate poisoning, the active ingredient in flea collars and spot treatments.

Organophosphate poisoning can cause 3 syndromes. First one is the cholinergic syndrome which can be fatal and happens immediately after organophosphates are inhaled, swallowed or absorbed through the skin. Second is the intermediate syndrome (IMS), which causes weak muscles and develops between one to four days in some patients. The third one is long-term nerve damage which sometimes develops 2 to 3 weeks after poisoning.
Approximately, every year there are 25 million cases of pesticide poisoning. While most pesticides are applied in developed countries, 80 percent of all poisonings occur in developing countries where regulatory, health, and education systems are weakest.
According to some reports, exposure to excessive levels of organophosphate pesticides may cause runny nose, temporary cough and burning eyes near the time of exposure. And long term exposure may result in lingering effects months or years later.
The continuous symptoms are fatigue, joint and muscle pain, memory problems, headache, respiratory problems, dizziness, gastrointestinal disturbance, atrophy, and antibiotic define sensitivity 1 to several years after exposure.

The following is an email I got today and what I think he is saying is that he's tired of all the 'Go Green' hype and to just be responsible. That's fine but but it take effort to teach people how to be responsible. That's why I do what I do.

Anyway...read his letter to me and my response at the bottom.

Dear Janelle,
Please tell me how many Gogreen and Greenwealth
and Envirogreen crappy businesses does any one
person have to be made to feel guilty about enough
to join, promote, and lose money on before we are
allowed to just...be...responsible...people??
Are you as tired as I am of the whole Going Green
movement yet? Have you also personally spent WAY
more time, money, and effort on it than it's ever
been worth?

Have you gotten out of the Green Movement what
you hoped for? Has it been all that you you ever
imagined it would be or that they told you it would be?

Well I don't know about you, but after 5 years
of flying the Green flag and raising the Green banner,
...I Am Done!
I mean how far do I have to go to do my part?

How many useless teatree oil, emmission-omitting,
wetter-than-water, gimicks that never, ever, EVER
work like they're supposed to am I supposed to
stock, er... use?

Here's the problem though. I believe there definitely
is a requirement by all mankind to live responsibly
and care for our planet as best we can. Absolutley!
I also believe there is no bloody way in the world,
the powerful Green lobby, and all the corporate
dough that goes into this movement, are just in
it to 'Do Their Part For Planet Earth!'
No. There is way too much money to be made
in this by tugging on the heart-strings of the
masses than there is in the alternative: The Truth.
Please educate yourself more on this, Janelle.
I have studied both sides, and I believe the blind
fear the media and corporate story-tellers are
instilling in society has OVERBLOWN the truth by
a long shot!

Yes there is a lot of pollution being produced
every day. Yes, it's harming our planet! But what
they don't tell you is the amounts of that which can
be linked directly to you and me and every other
non-corporation out there... is TINY!

Make good, healthy choices. Don't litter. Don't pour
toxins down your drain or down your gutter. Recycle.
Buy an economic vehicle.

There. Now you have done a few of the things you
are really able to, to help keep our neighborhoods
clean, because you can't change the world but you
can change your street!

To your health and well-being!
Karl Airey
PS. Please write back your comments.. I know there
are some strong feelings on this issue. My intention
is to wake people up, not necessarily piss them off...

Karl,

I know taking rasponsibily for learning to do something differently than what your use to is daunting. If you need stimulation take a what on the beach or a forest and be thankful there not so poluted you cant enjoy them.
I started a business with the intention of education people about how intensely toxic spot flea preparation are. Our product protect against worms and heart worm, fleas tics, mange, joint problem and has a host of other beneficial side effects. It doesn't eradicate fleas it just help you control them in a healthy natural way. I also send out a 'Organic Jan's' newsletter to further educate in the use of organics and alternative health care.

Multiply that tiny bit your were talking about by 7 billion and its not so tiny any more. There are natural solutions to all our problems if we take the time to learn about them. So, I say congratulations, to anyone who who embraces the green movement and takes that responsibility for themselves and teaching it to others.
